"Our style is simple but not that easy. Roll up your sleeves and play good, solid football. We want to develop a quality football team that is going to last. Our goal is to win the Super Bowl and win it again and again." -- Marv Levy

O-Line Visits Continue

Jason Whittle was just the first lineman to agree with the Bills. Marv Levy has brought in two more linemen today as the team obviously has targeted its offensive front five as their main concern in free agency.

Tackle Langston Walker (Oakland) and guard Derrick Dockery (Washington, right) are visiting One Bills Drive today. Dockery is widely regarded as one of the top three guards available this year, and would immediately give the Bills a powerful run-blocker at the starting left guard position. Meanwhile, Walker voided the final year of his contract in Oakland and is looking for greener pastures. He is a massive blocker and would likely compete for the starting right tackle job.

Both Dockery and Walker arrived in Orchard Park this afternoon. Whittle is there as well. No official word has come from OBD about Whittle's deal, but all indications are that official word will come later today.

Replacing Willis?
Reports have surfaced from Yahoo! Sports that the Bills are one of six teams to show interest in free agent running back Chris Brown (Tennessee). This is an interesting development on two levels - the obvious is that with Willis McGahee on the trade block, Brown could be viewed as a potential replacement.

The second interesting tidbit is Brown's past. Brown has never been in the same universe as a healthy back - he's hurt every year, which eventually led to him losing his starting spot in Tennessee last year. If Buffalo is looking at bringing him in, it's likely they are thinking of employing a two-back system - Brown can't carry the load by himself, but has operated well in split backfields before. Stay tuned on the running back front here at Bills Nation.

Takeo on the Trade Block
Reports from SI.com indicate that linebacker Takeo Spikes (left) is officially on the trade block. After a year in which Spikes failed to meet lofty (self-prophesied) expectations coming off of a torn Achilles tendon, the coaching staff has apparently decided that Spikes is not an ideal fit for Perry Fewell's Tampa 2 scheme.

If Spikes is moved, one team that may be interested is his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals. They released Brian Simmons prior to the start of free agency, and bringing Spikes back would not only give the team a good player, it would be a fantastic PR move.

Look for the Bills to start entertaining linebackers and defensive backs tomorrow once the flurry of offensive linemen dies down.

STAY TUNED to Buffalo Bills Nation - I will continue to post updates about Bills ongoings as frequently as I can for the remainder of the free agency period.
